Adebayor Admitted Spur’s Need Improvement

Tottenham Hotspur’s start of the Premier League has seen the team of Mauricio Pochettino claiming victories against West Ham United and Queens Park Rangers. Those were the 2 opening matches of the season for Tottenham but the club located at the White Hart Lane suffered a huge blow when facing off with Liverpool and lost 3-0.
The match was played in the own stadium of Tottenham but this did not intimidate Liverpool as Brendan Rodgers and his squad went right through their opposition in a victory that was comfortably won by Liverpool.
This defeat was a huge blow for Tottenham as they had the upper hand of possession with 60% but it was Liverpool that managed to capitalize and secure the victory even though they had the worst part of possession.

Adebayor Set To Become Spurs No 1

Emmanuel Adebayor got a new lease of life at Tottenham under the management of Tim Sherwood. After being frozen out in the first half of last season, Adebayor was a major reason in helping Tottenham finish close to Manchester United in the table. His form was substantially better than Roberto Soldado, who has struggled since arriving from Valencia in the £ 26 million deal. Tottenham have not signed any major strikers in the summer transfer window so far. Hence, Adebayor is set to become the club’s number one striker under new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Adebayor Wants Europa League Spot

Striker Emmanuel Adebayor, who has been excellent for Tottenham in the second half of the campaign, says that he wants the club to win the remaining four matches of the season and seal a Europa league spot. The prospect of qualifying for the Europa league still remains available for Tottenham, who appears to have given up on the dream for top four place. The race for the top four will now be contested between Arsenal and Everton in the four matches of the season. Spurs are a distant sixth with a seven-point difference.
