Adebayor Admitted Spur’s Need Improvement

Tottenham Hotspur’s start of the Premier League has seen the team of Mauricio Pochettino claiming victories against West Ham United and Queens Park Rangers. Those were the 2 opening matches of the season for Tottenham but the club located at the White Hart Lane suffered a huge blow when facing off with Liverpool and lost 3-0.
The match was played in the own stadium of Tottenham but this did not intimidate Liverpool as Brendan Rodgers and his squad went right through their opposition in a victory that was comfortably won by Liverpool.
This defeat was a huge blow for Tottenham as they had the upper hand of possession with 60% but it was Liverpool that managed to capitalize and secure the victory even though they had the worst part of possession.
The Togolese striker of Tottenham Hotspur, Emmanuel Adebayor admitted to the media that the final result was not easy to take in but even with the loss it won’t stop the team in any way to continue aiming for the objectives they are aiming in this season.
‘’We won against QPR at home and everybody was saying we were one of the best teams in the league. People were touting us as title contenders. But now we have lost against Liverpool, everyone is saying: ‘Oh, they are not ready yet! They can’t compete with the big clubs’. But we’ll be back. There’s a long way to go. The most frustrating thing is that we weren’t rewarded for our performance. If you play badly and draw then it is quite good, as I am sure the Sunderland players will tell you. Their manager won’t be able to believe they came away with a point’’ Adebayor said during a press conference after Tottenham’s match against Liverpool was over.
